The Campaign

It’s undeniable that the audiovisual media has the power to tell good stories and to trigger changes in the world. Lots of movies have fostered significant changes in attitudes and behavior, bringing to light several problems for reflection and debate.

The documentary Boy 23 aims at being a tool of discussion and reflection about the harms that negligence with unassisted childhood, racism and authoritarianism of the elites against the lower classes can cause.

Making use of a real drama from the past, which is, without doubt, still reproduced today in our society, we believe that the film will touch sensitive issues that are in urgent need to be discussed. We want to bring light to this story so that it doesn’t happen again and hope we can contribute to a review of concepts and a change in attitudes and behavior of our society.
